Life Principles I Live By
1
It's nice to be nice in relationships: Do not expect anything in return for your favors. Trust your partner and never compare him/her with anyone else. Never pinpoint the mistake, disrespect or abuse your partner in public. Be nice to others even when they are not with you. This is what defines your character. Stable relationship with your family and friends is must for happiness.
2
Your wealth is not (all) yours: Ensure that part of your earnings reaches to your relatives in need and less privileged on the streets. You are not the sole owner of your wealth.
3
Be a man of virtues: Everyone likes a tree with fruit and shade. Humility is the best virtue according to me. Humility earns respect and love whereas pride gets hatred and disrespect. Remain soft-spoken and maintain your cool in even in unfavorable situations. You can not tear the earth apart or pierce through the skies. Make sure that your words and actions do not harm any person (and other creatures in large) with whom you share the earth. No joy is greater than bringing smiles on a deserted face.
4
Cause & Effect: Believer of Karma and the fact that What goes around, comes around. Whatever we put out in the Universe is what comes back to us. If what we want is Happiness, Peace, Love, Friendship... Then we should BE Happy, Peaceful, Loving and a True Friend.
5
Don't listen to naysayers but take advise/feedback: There are people who will appreciate you and there are others who will always criticize you for anything and everything. Utilize the appreciation for motivation and use the criticism for further improvement. No one is perfect. Your heart is the best judge. Arnold Schwarzenegger faced heavy criticism when he was entering into bodybuilding but he went on to become the champion 13 times in a row.
6
Be a learning machine: Spend each day trying to be a little wiser than you were when you woke up; try to learn something new every day. Books are the ultimate source of wisdom.
7
Respect your Parents: Do not surrender your parent to Old-age homes. They did not leave you when you were young, so don't leave them when they are Old and at your mercy. They supported you when you could not even stand upright on the ground. They compromised their life to turn you into what you are now. Give them their due respect. Serve them and earn your paradise.
8
Believe in God: Trust in God and be true to your religion. Always be thankful to your creator who is the true owner of everything you own.
